Laser cutters are quick, precise and easy to use. Being 2D is what
makes them so easy to use but creates challenges on how to create
truely 3D objects from flat parts.
This talk will discuss common design challenges and show solutions found in
Boxes.py and else where. We will looks at this mainly from a plywood POV but many point apply to other materials also.
Designing for Laser Cutting can be tricky. But often there is just the right idea missing. Let's meet and discuss challenges, show off solutions, share pitfalls and failures and learn from each other.
Please bring your own laser cut project - finished, in progress, failed or still in the idea phase.
Or do you have a special process involving a laser cutter? Please bring some examples and show off what you are doing.
